Dell computers tested for Windows 10 November 2019 Update and previous versions of Windows 10. It reads this for a few seconds and then asks for the SP2 CD at which time it enters an endless loop. The machine now boots into Windows setup without the pci or ohci errors but then asks that the original XP CD be installed. My last try was to use nLite only to merge the driver with the slipstreamed file(s) that I did using dos on the other XP machine and burning the image with nLite. iso image I saw that nLite was *not* replacing the earlier version of the pci.sy_ file with the SP2 version. But this got me back to the "pci.sys" error. I've used nLite to slipstream XP and SP2 and to add the needed drivers (from the link). I think this was a red herring but I finally realized that I needed the SATA drivers. This time I got by the pci error but encounterd "ohci1394.sys not found". So I downloaded a lite version of Nero and burned another coaster. I tried burning this using the Roxio bundled on my system, but never got a bootable CD. Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program). ![]() When you find the program WinZip Express for Office, click it, and then do one of the following: Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall. ![]() Windows XP: Click Add or Remove Programs. After some googling I found that I needed the SP2 drivers so I slipstreamed using the method described here (using another computer running XP) Windows Vista/7/8/10: Click Uninstall a Program. Upon trying to use the XP CD I got the dreaded "pci.sys not found" error. My first attempt was to simply edit the boot sequence to boot from a CD. Being cautious I installed a second harddrive just to play with the installation. ![]() I also have a pressing need to install XP on my XPS-410. Yes needs to be specific, here is the driver you need to install XP, download the file and use winzip or similar software to extract the contents of the exe file to a folder of choice, after extraction, these are the files needed to install XP using the F6 method, or slipstream the extracted drivers into the CD using nlite.
